T.A.G.

The Temporary Autonomous Gallery is a project in which artists and guerilla curators take over a public space, briefly stripping visual art of its institutional and commercial aspects and reclaiming it in the name of Bohemia. Participants email electronic images of their works that are then printed out and hung at the “gallery”. Artists and guests receive information about the time and location of the T.A.G. the day before the “opening”. T.A.G. then inhabits that public space without asking permission for two hours or until thrown out.

can T.A.G. present other kinds of artworks, which are not only printed digital images? I realize you have requirements...

For instance, a performance script could still be emailed, printed out, and taken to the location. But rather than being 'hung', the performance script would have to be enacted by someone in the public space (for example, the emailed script could say "10 people drink ice water from a mug" whether you choose to do it in the supermarket or somewhere else -- or it could say "swim in the fountain" and thsi would work if there were a fountain present, like in the hotel lobby).

Or rather than a performance script, it could be an architectural plan -- to quickly build a makeshift hut.

Would these work for T.A.G.? If needed, the initial emailed form could stil be hung
